Hello Bruin Fans,
It was a busy week for our Bruins in all sports with all teams in competition except Girls Golf who will kick off their season Monday.
Football played Center Grove North last night and the 7th graders posted a shut out 14-0 over the Trojans. Our 8th graders rally was stopped short at 16-14 when a late drive was stopped at the CG 15 yard line. Next week’s contests vs Chapel Hill will feature full B games following the A games for both grade levels.
Boys Tennis lost last night to Pendleton Heights, but our young team showed lots of growth throughout the match.
Volleyball is also off to good start. The 7th graders won a thriller in 3 sets over Raymond Park on Tuesday before falling 2-0 to Center Grove North last night. The 8th graders won 2-0 over Raymond Park and defeated CG North 2-1 last night and are now 2-0 on the season.
Boys and Girls Soccer both suffered two losses this week to Southport and Northview. They will look to break into the win column Monday night at LECC vs Perry Meridian.
Boys and Girls Cross Country both finished 2nd in last night’s Triangle race with Fall Creek Valley and Stonybrook. Top finishers for our Bruins were: Alexis Reynolds in 4th and Josh Cooper in 1st. Also in the top 10 were: Olivia Woodard (6th) in the girls race and in the boys race Porter Rozak (3rd) and Jayden Fairow (7th).
