Hello Bruin Fans,

Our Boys Basketball teams traveled to Fall Creek Valley for the first round of the MIIC Tournament last night. The 8th graders were defeated 49-43 and were eliminated from tournament play. The 7th graders won the rubber match with the Bearcats 45-43 and advance to tomorrow morning’s semifinal round. They will play at 9:30 AM vs New Augusta in a rematch of the Marion County Championship. The conference championship game will be played at 11:45. All games on Saturday will be played at Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center. The complete tournament field accompanies this message.

Girls Basketball continues to play well and both 7th and 8th grade teams moved to 4-0 and 3-0 in conference play with wins over Lynhurst and Raymond Park. Both teams have turned in double digit wins in every game this season! The schedule will toughen for our girls next week as they will take on Center Grove North on Tuesday before playing Fall Creek Valley on Thursday. Make sure to mark your calendars to come see these girls in action. Middle School Night for our girls basketball players will be tonight at LC during the halftime of the Warren Central game. This is a girls-boys doubleheader tonight, and the girls game begins at 6:00 PM.

Wrestling began the season this week and lost two tough matches to seasoned teams from Greenfield Central and Pendleton Heights. Tomorrow morning our wrestlers will host the Bruin Invitational and take on five different opponents. The action begins in the Hiatt Gym at 9:00 AM.

Swimming and Diving will dive into the pool for the first race of the season Thursday at Eastern Hancock before heading to Whiteland High School next Saturday for the Wacky Warrior Relays.

Pictures for our winter teams will be Monday, January 27th. Advance orders may be placed online here: https://order.lifetouchsports.com/index.cfm?event=OrderHome&contractID=173351

Please remember that all students who wish to attend home athletic events must leave school at dismissal and return when the doors open at 4:45. Students attending home events are also expected to have rides home by 7:30 each evening as our campus closes 15 minutes following the end of all contests
