Hello Bear Fans,

We began athletic competition this week, and it was great to see our student-athletes back in competition.

7th Grade Football defeated Fall Creek Valley last night 28-0 while the 8th grade lost to the Wildcats 18-14. Next week our teams will play Lynhurst. 7th grade will host the Giants while the 8th graders will travel there. Detailed information including digital ticketing is available here for our fans travelling to Lynhurt for the 8th grade game:

Our Soccer teams were in action twice this week. Both teams fell 1-0 to Fall Creek Valley as they opened the season on Tuesday night. Last night, the girls lost another 1-0 match to Westlane while the boys defeated Westlane 6-1 behind a hat trick from Christan Teles. They will both have road contests on Tuesday and Thursday next week. Boys Tennis is now 1-1 on the season after a tough loss on Tuesday to Raymond Park that was followed up by a 5-0 win over Lincoln/Guion Creek on Thursday.

In Cross-Country, the girls finished in 3rd place at last night’s triangle race while the boys finished 2nd behind Eastwood, but defeating Westlane. The first home race of the season will be Tuesday at 6:00 PM. This is a change from the originally scheduled 5:30 start.

The Volleyball teams are both 0-2 after two tough matches to start the season. They will begin the Marion County Tournament on Tuesday. Numerous changes have been made to the tournament field, so please be sure to view the attached brackets for the most updated version. A game has been added to the schedule on Wednesday 9/16 at home vs Center Grove North.

Our Girls Golfers lost to Franklin Central on Wednesday in their only action this week and will head to Southern Dunes Thursday to play Perry Meridian

A few important practice reminders:
1. All students must wear face coverings to and from tryouts and when not engaged in strenuous physical activity.
2. All students must also bring their own labeled water bottles.

3. All practices are closed to the public.
