We had a total of 567 student athletes represent our school during the year. Over 370 of those student athletes were on the academic honor roll. Hello Bruin Fans, Softball lost to Mt. Vernon on Wednesday before finishing the season with a win over Eastwood 14-3 last night. The girls finished the season in 3rd place in conference standings. Awards are Monday evening at 7:00 PM Baseball also finished the season with a win over Eastwood last night by a score of 15-4 The win secured the boys a tie for 2nd place in the MIIC. Hello Bruin Fans, Softball won both of its games this week over Guion Creek and Northview. The ladies have now won 3 in a row and are currently in 3rd place in the MIIC with a 4-1 conference record. Baseball won two of three games this week defeating Northview and Guion Creek. Their one loss was a 2-0 decision at the hands of Clay Middle School. Hello Bruin Fans, Softball went 2-1 on the week with convincing wins over both Raymond Park and Westlane and a loss to Eastern Hancock. The girls are now 2-1 in conference play with three conference games next week. The game that was rained out last week vs Fall Creek Valley has been rescheduled for Wednesday and will be played here at Belzer. Hello Bruin Fans, Our Winter Conference and County Champion Girls Basketball Team will be recognized this evening at the school board meeting along with our individual Conference Champion Swimmers, Diver, and Wrestlers. Hello Bruin Fans, Softball is now 1-0-1 on the season. Their game Tuesday was halted due to darkness at a 15-15 tie after 7 innings. Last night they hosted New Augusta in our conference opener and won 13-3. Great job ladies. They will be back in action Monday in another conference contest as they travel to Chapel Hill. Hello Bruin Fans, All of our spring athletic teams will begin competition next week. Softball will be at home on Monday as we host the Perry Meridian Falcons. Conference play for the girls will begin on Thursday as we host New Augusta. The game that was rained out last night vs Southport will not be rescheduled. Hello Bruin Fans, As the last gasps of winter earlier this week have now moved past us, we can turn our full attention to spring sports. All of our teams will begin competition following our return from spring break. Parent meetings for all teams are next week. Hello Bruin Fans, BACK to BACK CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!  8th Grade Girls Basketball ended their season last Saturday by winning their second consecutive MIIC Championship. They defeated both Northview and Lynhurst on their way to the championship. They ended the season with a 16-3 record. Hello Bruin Fans, The Wrestling team concluded the season Tuesday night with a 66-46 win over Fall Creek Valley on Tuesday. They ended their season with a 16-8 record in dual meets which is the 2nd most wins in school history. At the MIIC Championships last Saturday, 3 of our wrestlers took home conference titles.
