Hello Bruin Fans, Boys Basketball season is heating up. Our 7th graders are now 3-0 after a win over New Palestine on Tuesday night. The 8th grade is 0-3. Both teams will travel to Stonybrook following the Thanksgiving break before the Marion County Tournament begins on Thursday, November 29th. Hello Bruin Fans, Boys Basketball season began Tuesday with two exciting contests. The 7th grade won 32-29 over Lincoln while the 8th grade fell 45-41 in OT. The 7th graders followed that up with a 41-26 win over Fishers last night while the 8th grade fell to the Chargers. The 7th graders will travel to New Palestine Tuesday while the 8th graders return home against the Dragons looking for their first win of the season. Hello Bruin Fans, Boys Basketball season begins next week  as we host the Lincoln Lions on Tuesday evening. The 7th grade game will tip at 5:30 and the 8th grade game will follow. There is no B game Tuesday evening. Doors open for our winter contests 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Students who wish to attend the game must leave school after dismissal and may return when the doors open. Girls Basketball ,Swimming and Wrestling will all hold tryouts after Thanksgiving. Hello Bruin Fans, The first grading period ended as we headed to Fall Break and we had 116 student-athletes make the honor roll. Congratulations to all of those students on their hard work in the classroom. Hello Bruin Fans, Our fall seasons ended last night with our Football teams both defeating Fall Creek Valley. 7th grade won 22-16 while the 8th grade cruised to a 30-14 victory.  The 7th grade finished 7-1 on the season while 8th grade finished 4-4. The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams had a strong showing at the Marion County Championships last weekend. Hello Bruin Fans, Our 7th grade Football team moved to 6-1 on the season last night with a 26-8 defeat of Creston. They have no allowed just 28 points on the season. The 8th grade lost their match-up with the Indians and are now 3-4 on the season. Both teams will finish up the season next week at Lawrence Central in the annual township doubleheader. Hello Bruin Fans, Our 7th grade Football team moved to 5-1 on the season last night with a 28-0 defeat of New Palestine. That is the fourth shutout the team has posted this season. The 8th grade lost to the Dragons 42-14 and are now 3-3 on the season. The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams both performed well at last weekend’s MIIC Championships. Hello Bruin Fans, Our 7th grade Football team moved to 4-1 on the season last night with a 34-0 win over Fall Creek Valley. That is the third shutout the team has posted this season. The boys will be home next week as we host New Palestine in a non-conference matchup. The 8th grade returned to the win column and now sit at 3-2 on the season as they also shutout the Bearcats by a score of 24-0. That is their second shutout they have posted this season. Hello Bruin Fans, Our Soccer teams both picked up wins last night over Heritage Christian. The boys won by a score of 3-2 and the girls won 3-1. That was the first win of the year for the boys and their play continues to improve as we have two conference match-ups this week before the  inaugural Marion County Tournament begins next Saturday. Hello Bruin Fans, Our Cross Country team travelled to Carmel last night for a dual meet and the boys came home with the victory for their third win in four races. This marked the first time our runners have beaten Carmel in the last nine years. The girls lost the race but once again saw numerous PRs. As both teams look towards the MIIC Championships in two weeks, they continue to turn in competitive times.
