March 6th 2020

Hello Bruin Fans,*Girls Basketball *began the MIIC Tournament last night. 7th grade was eliminated in a loss to Center Grove Central. The 8th grade defeated New Augusta to advance to tomorrow morning’s quarterfinal against Fall Creek Valley. In the win, the girls rallied from an 11 point deficit at the start of the 4th quarter to win 39-33. Hello Bruin Fans,*Girls Basketball *lost two tough games in 8th grade to Fishers 31-28 and Chapel Hill 30-17 this week. Our 7th graders split their contests losing to Fishers before bouncing back and defeating Chapel Hill 38-10 last night. Next week they will begin Marion County Tournament play vs Franklin Township West. Hello Bruin Fans,*Girls Basketball *played just one game last this week and both 7th and 8th grade lost to Center Grove Central. The 8th graders are now 5-2 (4-2) and the 7th graders are 4-3 (3-3) on the season. Tomorrow they will head to Perry Meridian for the Lawrence/Perry Shootout that features our B teams.*Wrestling *lost a tough match last night to Southport 50-42 after having posted back to back wins headed into that match. Hello Bruin Fans,Our* Boys Basketball *teams traveled to Fall Creek Valley for the first round of the MIIC Tournament last night. The 8th graders were defeated 49-43 and were eliminated from tournament play. The 7th graders won the rubber match with the Bearcats 45-43 and advance to tomorrow morning’s semifinal round. They will play at 9:30 AM vs New Augusta in a rematch of the Marion County Championship. The conference championship game will be played at 11:45. Hello Bruin Fans,Our* Boys Basketball *teams concluded the regular season last night with wins over Raymond Park. Earlier in the week, the 7th graders also defeated Center Grove North while the 8th grade lost to the Trojans 49-48 in the final seconds. The boys will now wait to see who they will face in the MIIC Tournament which begins Thursday evening. Hello Bruin Fans,Our* Boys Basketball *teams defeated Pendleton Heights last night 5-35 in the 7th grade game and 54-38 in the 8th grade game. They will head downtown tomorrow for *Lawrence Basketball Day at Bankers Life *to take on Fall Creek Valley. The 7th grade game will begin at noon and the 8th grade is scheduled for a 1:30 tip-off. Hello Bruin Fans,Our* Boys Basketball *teams went to Fall Creek Valley on Tuesday for the B team Lawrence/Perry Challenge and both 7th and 8th grades came home 2-0 defeating Southport and Perry Meridian. The A teams had home games on both Tuesday and Thursday this week. The 7th and 8th grade teams both fell to Chapel Hill on Tuesday before defeating Eastwood last night 47-19 and 49-21 in 7th and 8th grades respectively. Hello Bruin Fans,8th Grade* Boys Basketball *improved their record to 8-1 with wins over Center Grove Central and Lynhurst this week. The 7th grade took 2nd place in the Marion County tournament on Monday night narrowly losing to New Augusta 52-48. They split their regular season games this week losing to Center Grove Central before defeating Lynhurst last night. Their record is now 7-4. Hello Bruin Fans,8th Grade* Boys Basketball *moved to 6-0 this week with a win over Franklin Twp West followed up by a 59-34 win over defending conference champs Chapel Hill last night in Marion County Tournament action setting up a quarterfinal match-up with Fall Creek Valley tomorrow morning.  Hello Bruin Fans,8th Grade* Boys Basketball *posted two more double digit wins this week over New Palestine and Riverside to move to 4-0 on the season. The 7th graders lost to New Palestine Tuesday before defeating Riverside 59-26 last night and evening their record at 2-2.
